Five Months

Here are some pictures I took of Piper at 5 months. I don't have any stats for this month because she didn't have to go to the doctor. But, she's holding her head up great and developing more and more personality!

Something was funny!

Did I mention she's a roly poly? Yeah, she started rolling over on Mother's Day. It didn't take her long to become an expert.

I also took some pictures of a friend's baby that day, and she brought along this bucket to use. Piper thought it was fun!

What big eyes you have, Piper.

From a different day: fun with a balloon.

And finally, three little monkeys.

I told them to give her a kiss. I was a little early for Lila, but this is Wyatt giving a kiss  :)

Lila's Preschool Graduation

Well, it happened. At the end of May, my little girl graduated. From preschool. Which means next year she starts kindergarten!! Where has the time gone? Due to some unforseen circumstances, my Mom and Grandma's weekend visit ended up being a little longer than they originally planned. So then they decided to stay one more day in order to attend Lila's graduation ceremony. I think it made the day a bit more special for Lila.
Here's the whole school (well, the kids who attend on Tuesdays and Thursdays... and those that I could get a picture of between all the people sitting in front of me). Lila is top right, craning her head to find us in the crowd. All of the kids sang a couple songs together.

Then each class sang some songs on their own.

Doing some hand motions - Lila didn't do any of the hand motions at the Christmas program, so I guess this means she's improved?? :)

This is the moment Lila spotted me. I had moved up front to get a closer picture.

Then after all the singing, they showed a slideshow. While that was playing, the kids put on their graduation robes.

Here is Lila's class with her teacher, Mrs. Hedges and assistant teacher, Mrs. "B".

The gowns were cute.

I switched to using the flash because the lighting was so dim.

Trying to get a group shot.

One with Mommy.
Someday I will have this picture next to one of us at her high school graduation.

And one with Grandma.
After taking pictures, we also enjoyed a little luncheon before going home.

Mother's Day

This year for Mother's Day, we were blessed to spend it with both my mother and my grandmother. Originally they were going to come visit the weekend before, but some major storms moved through Alabama. Their power was knocked out -- and stayed off for several days as the city tried to make repairs. So instead, they came the next weekend... which happened to include Mother's Day.

It was my Grandma's first chance to meet Piper.

After church on Mother's Day, we took some pictures. It was a little windy (as always in Texas!).

The kids were not thrilled at having to sit for pictures. If I could somehow combine the first picture where we're all smiling nicely with this picture where the wind wasn't blowing... but oh well!

Then we took some pictures with Grandma and Great Grandma. My Grandma had bent down to keep Wyatt from escaping, so she's not quite *that* short!

Another attempt. Then we headed inside.

Here Great-Grandma is pretending to eat Wyatt's toes. He was giggling and giggling!

"This little piggy..."

Can you tell that he's ticklish? Because, boy, is he ticklish!

My Grandma will be 86 this year. She is still full of spunk.
(Yes, Wyatt ditched his shorts when he had his diaper changed, so now he's sporting the 'Risky Business' look.)

When Piper woke up from her nap, we went back outside to take some more pictures. Lila was very willing, so here's a picture of her and Piper while we tried to corral Wyatt (and get his shorts back on).

I love being Mommy to these three!

Wyatt was done, so we went back to pictures of Lila and Piper.

Sweet baby girl.

Family picture time!
We took several, but as you can expect with three young children, this was the only decent one we got.

Love those little feet.

Four generations on my Mom's side.

Easter Song

As I was sorting through photos, I came across these, taken back at Easter time. The young kids in our church sang "Hosanna" during the service.

They came in waving palm branches.

Lila does a pretty good job singing and not being too shy.

The little boy and girl to the left of Lila are twins in her class. The other kids pictured are older.

Four Months

Wow, you know you're really behind when you're posting 4 month pictures and your daughter will turn 6 months the next day. Oh well. Here's a glimpse of where she was at four months of age. She was getting better at lifting up her head when on her tummy. I think she had rolled over once. She weighed 15 lbs 8 oz at her check up and measured 25.5 inches... which was a bit shorter than Lila at that age, but heavier. Wyatt had her beat on both counts.

One thing that hasn't changed in two months... her ability to drool. She's a master!

Holding up her head!

Checking out the turtle.

Smile

Giving me her sideways smile

"Mom, wasn't that good enough?"

Full body shot

Just a few pictures from a day when it was colder and she was wearing a cute outfit :)
